KP govt approves land record through NADRA centers

PESHAWAR, Aug 20 (APP): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has accorded in-principle approval for the issuance of land records (Fard) through NADRA E-Service Centers aimed at facilitating citizens across the province.
The decision was taken during a high-level meeting on revenue department reforms, chaired by Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi in Peshawar.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister was briefed that the Revenue Department’s Service Delivery Centers would now be supplemented by NADRA E-Service Centers for the issuance of land records.
It was further apprised that the official fee and other service charges for the Fard would be collected through cashless modes, ensuring transparency and ease for the public.
The new facility is expected to save citizens’ precious time and resources, besides providing them relief from unnecessary visits to government offices. The move is part of the provincial government’s broader strategy to digitize public services and reduce bureaucratic hurdles.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi said that the provincial government was taking practical steps to deliver facilities at the doorsteps of the people. “We believe in people-friendly governance, and providing easy, transparent, and timely services to citizens remains our top priority,” he added.
The meeting also received a detailed briefing on the draft of the Land Acquisition Bill 2026. The chief minister directed the authorities to incorporate special clauses in the new bill to prevent unnecessary delays in the land acquisition process. He further instructed that the bill be finalized at the earliest and presented to the relevant forums for approval.
Terming the Land Acquisition Bill 2026 as a reflection of PTI vision, the chief minister said that public interest had been given the foremost priority in the proposed legislation. He reaffirmed that the provincial government would continue its reform process to ensure practical solutions to public issues, a transparent system, and improved governance.
The provincial government reiterated its commitment to citizen convenience, transparency, and better governance as its core priorities. The new initiatives are part of a comprehensive roadmap to enhance service delivery and strengthen public trust in the government machinery, officials said.
