The Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) organised the concluding ceremony of a three-day professional training workshop on “Koha Library Management System and Artificial Intelligence for Modern Libraries”, arranged by the Learning Resource Center (LRC) under the University’s Community Outreach Program here on Thursday.

FAISALABAD, Aug 20 (APP):The Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) organised the concluding ceremony of a three-day professional training workshop on “Koha Library Management System and Artificial Intelligence for Modern Libraries”, arranged by the Learning Resource Center (LRC) under the University’s Community Outreach Program here on Thursday.
Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) emphasized continuous learning, professional development and the practical use of emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI).
She said the real value of training lies in applying the acquired knowledge and sharing it with others.
The Vice Chancellor encouraged participants to implement their newly acquired skills in their professional settings and appreciated Dr. Saima Akram, Convener Library Committee, and Misbah Bashir, Deputy Librarian, for organizing the workshop.
The workshop was attended by 60 library professionals and students from Faisalabad and surrounding areas. Participants received practical training in Koha, library automation, cataloguing, digital resources and AI applications in library services.
Misbah Bashir, Deputy Librarian, GCWUF, and Umair Farooq from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) served as resource persons. Certificates were also distributed among participants at the concluding ceremony.
