Rawalpindi Police review security arrangements for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal processions
RAWALPINDI, Aug 20 (APP):Rawalpindi Police on Thursday held a meeting with members of the Milad Committee to review security and traffic arrangements for 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal processions.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam and Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal Babar Bakht Gondal met members of the Milad Committee at the SDPO City office.
The meeting was attended by SDPO City, DSP Traffic, SHO City, members of the Peace Committee and religious scholars.
SP Rawal Babar Bakht Gondal said maintaining law and order was the top priority and all necessary measures were being taken to ensure peace and security.
He also urged all stakeholders to fulfil their responsibilities and cooperate with police to ensure peaceful observance of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
The scholars expressed the hope that comprehensive arrangements would be made for the processions, while participants sought adequate security for their respective Milad ceremonies.
The participants agreed to ensure a peaceful environment in accordance with the prescribed standard operating procedures (SOPs), with the cooperation of police and the Peace Committee.
