KPFSA inspects food points in DIKhan, ensures hygiene standards

Dera Ismail Khan, Aug 20 (APP): A team of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority (KPFSA) conducted inspections of various food points in Dera Ismail Khan to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

During the inspection, the team examined different food outlets and affixed relevant grading stickers on carts that had already been graded under the food safety system.

The team also conducted detailed inspections of chicken shops and other relevant food points, particularly focusing on cleanliness, personal hygiene, safe handling of food and adherence to prescribed health and sanitation standards.

Officials said that action was taken against food businesses found violating the required hygiene and food safety regulations, while fines were imposed on violators.

The Food Safety team warned food business operators to strictly comply with the prescribed hygiene standards and maintain cleanliness at their premises to protect public health.

Officials further said that inspections would continue across the district to ensure the availability of safe and hygienic food to citizens.
