LAHORE, Aug 20 (APP): A historic increase in the prices of gold and silver has been recorded in the local exchange markets of the country, where one tola of gold has increased by Rs 13,700, while the price of silver has increased by Rs 369 per tola.
According to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, on Thursday, August 20, 2026, 24 karat gold per tola increased by 13700 rupees to Rs471000. 936 rupees, while 10 grams of 24 karat gold became expensive by Rs11746 rupees and has reached the level of 404609 rupees.
Similarly, 10 grams of 22 carat gold has reached the level of Rs370905 rupees with an increase of Rs10768 rupees.
A big increase in the price of silver was also recorded in the local markets, where 24 karat silver increased by Rs 369 to Rs 7169 per tola, while the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs317 to Rs6146.
In the international market, the price of gold rose significantly, where gold rose by $137 to $4,495 per ounce, while the price of silver increased by $3.69 to $66.90 per ounce.
