The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises (CCoSOEs) on Thursday approved the appointment of an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and endorsed three nominations for Independent Director positions on the Board of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL).
CCoSOEs clears board appointments for PPL, OGDCL

ISLAMABAD, Aug 20 (APP): The Cabinet Committee on State-Owned Enterprises (CCoSOEs) on Thursday approved the appointment of an Independent Director on the Board of Directors of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and endorsed three nominations for Independent Director positions on the Board of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL).
The meeting of the CCoSOEs was chaired by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb at the Finance Division, according to press release issued by finance ministry.
The Committee approved a summary submitted by the Petroleum Division regarding the nomination of an Independent Director against a vacant position on the PPL board, in line with the State-Owned Enterprise Policy, 2023.
It also considered a Petroleum Division summary concerning the constitution of the OGDCL Board of Directors and approved the proposed nominations against three Independent Director positions.
