RAWALPINDI, Aug 19 (APP): A thesis exhibition 2026 was organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Rawalpindi Women University (RWU), featuring artworks in painting, sculpture and miniature art created by students.
The exhibition was organized in collaboration with the Information and Culture Department, Government of Punjab, and the Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi.
Vice Chancellor Rawalpindi Women University, Prof. Dr. Taiba Zareef inaugurated the exhibition, while Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Culture Punjab, Shazia Rizwan Afzal attended as the chief guest.
Director Punjab Council of the Arts, Rawalpindi Muhammad Shakoor, university faculty members and students were also present on the occasion.
Shazia Rizwan Afzal visited the exhibition and appreciated the creative work of the students. She said that girls were second to none in any field and were making the country proud through their talent, hard work and creative thinking.
She stressed the importance of providing young female students with ample opportunities to showcase their abilities. She said such activities played an important role in promoting the fine arts and highlighting the talent of young artists.
She added that the Punjab government would continue its efforts to promote the fine arts and encourage young artists.
