LAHORE, Aug 19 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Ejaz on Wednesday visited Nishtar Tehsil and reviewed administrative affairs and ongoing sanitation operations in Kahna and Muhafiz Town.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Enforcement Kashif Jalil, Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Lahore Kaleem Yousaf, Assistant Commissioner Nishtar Muhammad Saleem Asi and representatives of relevant departments accompanied the DC during the visit.
The Assistant Commissioner Nishtar briefed the DC on the sanitation operations underway in the tehsil. The DC was also apprised of measures being taken to improve administrative affairs and ensure effective service delivery.
The DC directed the relevant authorities to use modern monitoring mechanisms for effective supervision of administrative affairs and sanitation operations. He also directed that the zero-waste policy be strictly implemented in all parts of the city.
Muhammad Ali Ejaz said no compromise would be made on cleanliness standards and directed field officers to personally monitor sanitation operations to ensure timely and effective cleanliness arrangements. He stressed that sanitation operations should be continuously monitored in the field and directed the concerned officials to ensure visible improvement in cleanliness across Nishtar Tehsil.
Special field teams have also been constituted in Nishtar Tehsil to improve administrative affairs and strengthen field-level monitoring.
