District administration launches operation to retrieve graveyard land
MULTAN, Aug 19 (APP):The district administration on Wednesday launched a major crackdown against land grabbers,reclaiming land belonging to Hassan Parwana Graveyard on the directives of Deputy Commissioner(DC) Dr.Faisal Saleem.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner(AC) City Uzka Seher,during which heavy machinery was used to demolish illegal structures erected on the graveyard land.
Paved houses and boundary walls were also demolished.
DC Dr.Faisal Saleem said the graveyard land had been retrieved from illegal occupants and legal proceedings had been initiated against the encroachers.
He said the district administration would continue its campaign to reclaim graveyards and government land from illegal occupants across the district.
Citizens appreciated the administration’s efforts to remove encroachments,retrieve the graveyard land and take action against the encroachers.
