Textile exports witnessed an increase of 8.07 percent during the first month of the financial year (2026-27) as compared to the same month of last year (2025-26), said Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Tuesday.
Textile exports increases 8.07 % to $1.814 bln in July 2026

ISLAMABAD, Aug 18 (APP): Textile exports witnessed an increase of 8.07 percent during the first month of the financial year (2026-27) as compared to the same month of last year (2025-26), said Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Tuesday.
The overall textile exports from the country were recorded at $ 1.814 billion during July 2026 against the exports of $ 1.678 billion during July 2025.
The textile commodities that contributed in trade growth included cotton yarn the exports of which increased by 18.69 percent to $66.529 million during the July 2026 as compared to the exports of $56.052 million last year July.
The other commodities that witnessed growth in trade included knitwear the export of which surged by 4.06 percent to $533.836 million from $512.991 million, bed wear by 4.16 percent to $308.498 million from $296.185 million, towels by 13.37 percent to $106.364 million from $93.822 million, and readymade garments by 15 percent to $459.988 million from $399.992 million.
The export of tent, canvas and tarpulin also rose by 16.83 percent to $7.921 million from $6.780 million, made up article (excluding towels and bedwear) by 10.56 percent to $77.209 million from $69.833 million, and all other textile materials up by 21.98 percent to $79.461 million from $65.141 million.
The textile commodities that witnessed negative growth in trade included cotton cloth the exports of which dipped by 0.10 percent to $141.590 million from $141.729 million whereas the export of yarn other than cotton yarn decreased by 23.26 percent to $2.275 million from $2.964 million.
The export of art, silk and synthetic textile also decreased by 8.22 percent to $30.406 million from $33.131 million.
Meanwhile, on month-on-month basis the textile exports from the country went up 43.13 percent during the month of July 2026 as compared to the exports of $1.267 billion recorded in June 2026, the PBS data revealed.
