Wanted robber injured, arrested in police encounter
DG KHAN, Aug 18 (APP):A wanted history-sheeter was arrested in an injured condition following an encounter with the police in the jurisdiction of the Chotti police station on Tuesday.
According to police officials, credible intelligence was received regarding the presence of a notorious and wanted robber, identified as Allah Bachaya alias Bacchu Ramdani, in the Basti Ghangla area.
Acting promptly on the tip-off, a police team rushed to the specified location and cordoned off the suspected hideout to apprehend the criminal.
Upon seeing the raiding party, the accused and his accomplices opened indiscriminate fire. The police personnel retaliated effectively in self-defense. When the exchange of fire ceased, the suspect was found severely injured at the scene.
According to the police, the robber sustained gunshot wounds from the firing of his own accomplices, who managed to flee taking advantage of the terrain.
The injured suspect was immediately taken into custody and shifted for medical treatment.
