FBR Holds Ceremony to Honour Officers Nominated for National Civil Awards

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday held an in-house ceremony at its headquarters to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of its officers to public service and literature following their nomination for prestigious national civil awards.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 17 (APP): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Monday held an in-house ceremony at its headquarters to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of its officers to public service and literature following their nomination for prestigious national civil awards.
Chairman FBR Rashid Mahmood Langrial congratulated all the nominees and commended their unwavering commitment, dedication and valuable contributions to public service, according to a news release.
He appreciated their professionalism and continued efforts to strengthen the institution and advance FBR’s institutional objectives.
The chairman said the government was placing strong emphasis on FBR’s performance and reform and encouraging its officers to discharge their responsibilities with integrity and dedication.
He emphasized that the awards were not merely recognition of individual achievements but also represented the collective efforts of FBR’s officers and employees, who continued to work for the betterment of the organization and the country.
“The FBR reform process is continuing and requires sustained commitment, hard work and a strong sense of responsibility from all officers,” Rashid Mahmood said.
He urged the officers to maintain the momentum of reforms and continue discharging their duties with dedication in the larger national interest.
The officers nominated for national civil awards in recognition of their contributions to public service include Rashid Mahmood Langrial, Chairman FBR, for Hilal-i-Imtiaz; Dr Hamid Ateeq Sarwar, Member Strategic Communication, for Sitara-i-Imtiaz; Dr Mohammad Iqbal, Member Administration, for Sitara-i-Imtiaz; Muhammad Taqi Qureshi for Sitara-i-Imtiaz; Syed Shakeel Shah, Member Customs Operations, for Sitara-i-Imtiaz; Zubair Bilal, Member IR-Operations, for Tamgha-i-Imtiaz; Munir Ahmed Chaudhry for Tamgha-i-Imtiaz; Ajaz Hussain for Tamgha-i-Imtiaz; Sheikh Zahid Masood for Tamgha-i-Imtiaz; and Azhar Hussain Marchant for Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.
In addition, Muhammad Muti-Ur-Rehman, also known as Rehman Faris, has been recognized with the Pride of Performance Award for his contributions to literature.
The ceremony provided an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the nominated officers and reaffirm FBR’s commitment to excellence, institutional reform and dedicated public service.
