FAISALABAD, Aug 17 (APP):A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a speeding car on East Canal Road, while a separate fire incident was reported in Muslim Town here on Monday.
According to Rescue-1122, a speeding car struck a motorcyclist near Faisal Hospital on Canal Road. As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist, identified as 35-year-old Adil, son of Shamoon and a resident of Chak No 224-RB, sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.
Following the crash, the car plunged into the nearby canal. A team from Rescue-1122 promptly responded to the emergency and successfully pulled the vehicle out of the water.
The police arrested the car driver, impounded the vehicle, and shifted the deceased’s body to the mortuary of the Civil Hospital for a postmortem examination. Further investigation was underway.
In a separate incident, a fire broke out in a residential house situated in Waleed Block of Muslim Town, located on Sargodha Road. The blaze reportedly erupted due to a short-circuit in the electrical wiring of an air-conditioner.
Upon receiving the information, fire brigade teams immediately rushed to the site and extinguished the flames, preventing the fire from spreading further.
Fortunately, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
