Meeting scrutinises agri graduates under Punjab CM’s internship program
LODHRAN, Aug 16 (APP):A meeting of the District Scrutiny Committee, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf, was held to scrutinise applications for the Punjab Chief Minister’s internship programme for 1,500 agricultural graduates across the province.
Giving a briefing, Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) Malik Muhammad Zafar said that 156 applications had been received for 33 internship positions in Lodhran, of which 142 candidates were declared eligible after initial scrutiny.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf said the internship programme launched by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif was a revolutionary initiative aimed at providing agricultural graduates with practical field experience along with a monthly stipend of Rs70,000.
He said candidates holding a BSc (Hons) Agriculture degree had applied for the programme and would be selected strictly on merit after completion of the scrutiny process.
The deputy commissioner emphasized that the selection process would be conducted transparently and strictly in accordance with the prescribed criteria on merit basis.
