City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera held open courts at Kallar Syedan and Kahuta police stations to address public complaints here on Saturday.

RAWALPINDI, Aug 15 (APP): City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera held open courts at Kallar Syedan and Kahuta police stations to address public complaints here on Saturday.
SP Saddar, SDPO Kahuta, station house officers (SHOs) and investigation officers were present while a large number of citizens participated and presented their complaints before the CPO.
Taking notice of complaints regarding faulty investigations and failure to place e-tags on applications submitted by citizens, the CPO ordered show-cause notices to be issued to four investigation officers.
He directed police officers to take immediate legal action on citizens’ complaints regarding illegal occupation and encroachment.
At Kahuta, he ordered the immediate registration of a case on a citizen’s complaint regarding theft.
The CPO also directed officers to ensure the immediate arrest of proclaimed offenders (POs) in response to a citizen’s complaint.
Sukhera instructed police officers to ensure that citizens’ problems were resolved at the police station level and warned that strict departmental action would be taken against officers who failed to place e-tags on citizens’ applications.
“Service delivery and the provision of justice are our foremost priorities, and it will be ensured,” the CPO said.
The Rawalpindi Police spokesperson said the open courts were part of efforts to improve public service delivery and ensure prompt resolution of citizens’ complaints.
