RAWALPINDI, Aug 14 (APP): Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi, Prof. Dr. Iqbal Mahmood, said in his Independence Day message that educated and principled youth serve as the ultimate guarantee for Pakistan’s bright future.
He described freedom as a profound blessing from Almighty Allah and a major national responsibility, emphasizing that the nation must honor the eternal sacrifices of its ancestors by working toward the country’s development, stability and prosperity.
Prof. Dr. Iqbal Mahmood highlighted that the younger generation constitutes Pakistan’s most valuable asset. He noted that by adopting knowledge, character, hard work, and discipline, the youth can steer the country toward new heights of progress.
He further stressed that educational institutions bear the fundamental responsibility of instilling patriotism, civic duty, and positive character building alongside standard academic education.
To mark the occasion, a ceremony was held at the Board Complex, where Chairman BISE Rawalpindi Prof. Dr. Iqbal Mahmood hoisted the national flag and subsequently cut an Independence Day cake.
Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar Awan accompanied the Chairman during the event, which was also attended by board officials and staff. The ceremony concluded with special prayers offered for the security, sovereignty, progress, and stability of Pakistan.
