Markazi Muslim League holds Independence Day flag-hoisting ceremony in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI, Aug 14 (APP): Markazi Muslim League’s Rawalpindi chapter held a special flag-hoisting ceremony at Liaquat Bagh on Murree Road on the occasion of Pakistan’s 80th Independence Day.
The ceremony was attended by leaders, office-bearers and workers of the Central Muslim League.
Central spokesperson Dr. Muzammil Iqbal Hashmi, Rawalpindi General Secretary Engineer Mubeen Siddiqui and Deputy General Secretary Hafiz Ala Ahad were among those who participated and addressed the gathering.
On the occasion, the speakers described Pakistan as a great blessing from Allah Almighty, saying that the country was achieved after immense sacrifices by the Muslims of the subcontinent.
They said Independence Day provides an opportunity to remember the struggle and sacrifices of the nation’s forefathers while reaffirming the commitment to playing an active role in Pakistan’s development, stability and prosperity.
The speakers stressed that national unity, solidarity and mutual cooperation were essential for strengthening and developing the country. They urged people to rise above differences and contribute to the welfare of the nation and public service.
The national flag was hoisted during the ceremony, followed by special prayers for country’s security, stability, progress and prosperity.
The speakers also reaffirmed the Markazi Muslim League’s resolve to continue its efforts in public welfare, humanitarian activities and the promotion of national unity.
