Independence Day celebrated with patriotic fervor across Balochistan

QUETTA, Aug 14 (APP): The 80th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated with great enthusiasm, national spirit, and widespread public participation across Balochistan, including the provincial capital Quetta.

Government buildings, offices, markets, shopping malls, commercial centers, and educational institutions were decorated with green crescent flags, buntings, and colorful illuminations. Special ceremonies, rallies, and flag-hoisting events were organized at various locations to mark the occasion.

The day began with special prayers in mosques after Fajr, seeking blessings for the martyrs of the Pakistan Movement and for the security, stability, prosperity, and peace of the country.

Citizens, students, social organizations, and government departments held rallies in different districts, highlighting national unity, brotherhood, and patriotism.

Strict security arrangements were made across the province, particularly during Friday prayers. Personnel from police, Levies, Frontier Corps, and other law-enforcement agencies were deployed at mosques, roads, markets, and public places to ensure peaceful participation in Independence Day events.

Flag-hoisting ceremonies were held across Balochistan, attended by government officials, political and social leaders, students, and large numbers of citizens.

Speakers paid tribute to the sacrifices of the leaders and martyrs of the Pakistan Movement, reaffirming the pledge to work for the country’s progress, prosperity, and stability. Special prayers were also offered for Pakistan’s security and unity.
