RAWALPINDI, Aug 14 (APP): Independence Day celebrations kicked off in Murree last night as the hill station echoed with patriotic slogans and a vibrant fireworks display lit up the night sky over the historic Mall Road.
A massive influx of tourists and families gathered on Mall Road to participate in the festivities, crowding key spots across the town to mark the occasion.
To ensure public safety amid the heavy turnout, comprehensive security arrangements were implemented under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi and District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Raza Tanveer Sipra. Heavy contingents of police and law enforcement personnel were deployed across Mall Road and major public areas throughout the celebrations.
