LAHORE, Aug 14 (APP): Punjab Information Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari on Friday said that Pakistan was not achieved without struggle but was the result of the countless sacrifices made by the nation’s forefathers.
In a video message on the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, she felicitated the nation and said that the country’s journey since 1947 reflected resilience, progress and determination.
Azma Bukhari said Pakistan was earning respect at international forums and playing an important role in regional and global affairs.
She said Independence Day provided an opportunity to renew the pledge to contribute towards the country’s progress and prosperity.
The minister said Pakistan would continue its journey of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, adding that the performance of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was also being widely acknowledged.
She expressed the hope that all provinces would continue to progress and prayed for the peace, prosperity and development of the country and its people.
