Vietnamese Ambassador felicitates Pakistan on 80th independence day

ISLAMABAD, Aug 13 (APP): Ambassador of Vietnam to Pakistan, Pham Anh Tuan has extended warm congratulations and best wishes to the Government and people of Pakistan on the occasion of the country’s 80th Independence Day, being celebrated on August 14.

In his message issued here on Thursday, the ambassador, on behalf of the Embassy of Vietnam in Pakistan and on his own behalf, said he was pleased to see that friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Pakistan continued to strengthen and expand across various fields.

The Ambassador highlighted economic and trade cooperation as an important pillar of bilateral relations, noting that the two countries were actively advancing negotiations on the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA).

The envoy expressed the hope that the PTA would further facilitate trade and investment, while creating stronger linkages between the business communities of the two countries.

He said people-to-people exchanges and cultural cooperation had also continued to grow, contributing to greater mutual understanding of the histories, cultures and societies of Vietnam and Pakistan.

Ambassador Pham Anh Tuan noted that the two countries possessed considerable potential to further promote tourism cooperation and enhance connectivity, creating more opportunities for their peoples to visit and experience each other’s rich cultural and historical heritage as well as natural beauty.

On the auspicious occasion, he wished Pakistan continued peace, stability, prosperity and development.

He expressed the hope that the multifaceted friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Pakistan would continue to deepen, broaden and flourish for the benefit of the two peoples and for peace, cooperation and development in the region and beyond.

“Happy Independence Day, Pakistan!” the Vietnamese ambassador said.
