ISLAMABAD, Aug 13 (APP): Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Thursday visited various railway stations to review arrangements and passenger facilities ahead of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day.
The minister visited Margalla Railway Station and interacted with passengers to inquire about the facilities being provided for them.
He also inspected the Green Line train and reviewed the facilities available to passengers.
Abbasi inspected cleanliness, security, passenger facilitation and other arrangements at the station.
He also met station staff and received a briefing on arrangements to provide the best possible facilities to passengers during the Independence Day celebrations.
The federal minister later visited Rawalpindi and Golra railway stations and reviewed arrangements and facilities for passengers.
He directed the relevant officers to ensure proper arrangements, cleanliness, security and provision of all possible facilities to passengers at railway stations.
“Pakistan Railways is committed to providing safe, comfortable and quality travel facilities to passengers on the occasion of the national festival,” Abbasi said.
