ISLAMABAD, Aug 13 (APP): The sale of cars during the first month of the current financial year 2026-27 has increased by 141.28 percent as compared to the same month of last year, said Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
Total car sales reached 17,216 units during the month, up from 7,135 units in July 2025, according to the data.
The breakup figures showed that 2,529 units of Honda Civic and City were sold during the month under review as compared to the sale of 1,143 units last year.
Toyota Corolla and Yaris sales increased 77.12% to 4,283 units from 2,418 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.
Suzuki Swift posted the highest growth among the major models, with sales soaring 286.59% to 2,018 units from 522 units in July 2025.
Sales of Suzuki Alto, one of the top-selling models, also recorded a sharp increase, rising to 7,217 units from 2,327 units a year earlier.
Suzuki Cultus sales climbed to 392 units in July from 239 units in the same month last year, while Suzuki Every sales rose 54.06% to 493 units from 320 units.
In contrast, Hyundai Elantra sales declined 57% to 25 units from 66 units in July 2025.
Sales of electric vehicles also showed growth during the month. Dewan Honri-VE sales doubled to 48 units in July 2026 from 24 units a year earlier, representing a 100% increase.
