RAWALPINDI, Aug 13 (APP): Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), Rawalpindi, has achieved another remarkable national distinction as Nimra Rafique, a student of Department of Education, was honored with the prestigious Prime Minister Award 2026 at a ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s House, Islamabad.
Nimra Rafique was selected among the Top 10 outstanding individuals from across Pakistan in recognition of her exceptional academic performance, leadership, dedication, resilience and significant contributions to the country. Along with her academic record at FJWU, she has distinguished herself in sports as the Captain of the Pakistan Women’s Blind Cricket Team. Internationally, she led the national team in the Pak-Australia Blind Cricket Series and captained Pakistan at the T20 Women’s Blind Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka.
Vice Chancellor FJWU, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza (PoP, T.I.), congratulated the student on this prestigious national honor, stating that the recognition was a matter of immense pride for FJWU and reflected the extraordinary talent and determination of its students. She also commended the Department of Education and the Sports Office for their continuous role in encouraging students to excel across academic and co-curricular domains.
