BRT service to get 52 new buses

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved 52 new buses to further improve the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service.

PESHAWAR, Aug 12 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved 52 new buses to further improve the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service.
According to official sources on Wednesday, 25 of the newly approved buses have already reached Karachi Port, while the remaining 27 buses have been dispatched and are expected to become part of the Peshawar BRT fleet soon.
With the addition of the 52 buses, the total number of buses in the Peshawar BRT fleet would increase from 244 to 296.
Officials said the expansion would enhance the system’s capacity to facilitate passengers and help make public transport services more reliable, stable and efficient.
The move is aimed at providing better and more dependable public transportation facilities to the people.
