VC FUUAST participates in COMSATS digital governance demonstration

ISLAMABAD, Aug 11 (APP):Vice Chancellor (VC) Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), Prof. Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari, participated in a demonstration of an integrated digital governance system developed by COMSATS University here on Tuesday.
The demonstration was presented by Rector COMSATS University Islamabad, Prof. Raheel Qamar, along with his team. The presentation highlighted COMSATS’ in-house digital governance solutions aimed at modernizing and streamlining university operations.
The system covers major areas of university administration, including the student lifecycle, electronic filing, financial operations, recruitment and statutory governance. The integrated digital solutions have significantly improved administrative efficiency while reducing processing time, operational costs and paper usage across the university’s campuses.
Chairperson Higher Education Commission (HEC), Prof. Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, also graced the demonstration at the Principal Seat, Islamabad.
Dr. Shinwari appreciated the initiative of COMSATS University and its Rector for developing practical digital solutions for higher education institutions. He said that such knowledge-sharing initiatives provided universities with valuable opportunities to learn from each other and move towards more efficient, transparent and technology-driven governance.
Dr. Shinwari expressed its gratitude to Chairperson HEC Prof. Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar and Rector COMSATS, Prof. Raheel Qamar, and said this initiative reflected a growing spirit of institutional collaboration among Pakistani universities and marked a positive step towards digital transformation in the higher education sector.
