DPM/FM Dar directs establishment of subcommittees to oversee key aspects of 14th SA Games
ISLAMABAD, Aug 11 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Tuesday, directed the establishment of subcommittees tasked with overseeing key aspects of the 14th South Asian Games 2027, including financing, infrastructure development and upgradation, athletes’ training and preparation, and logistical arrangements.
Chairing a meeting to review preparations for the 14th South Asian Games, being hosted by Pakistan in March 2027, he stressed the importance of timely planning and close coordination among all stakeholders to ensure that Pakistan hosts the Games to the highest standards.
The meeting was attended by SAPM Tariq Bajwa, President of the Pakistan Olympic Association Arif Saeed, Secretary IPC, Director General Pakistan Sports Board, officials of the Ministry of Finance, and representatives of the Governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press release.
The DPM/FM emphasized that the 14th South Asian Games provided Pakistan with an important opportunity to showcase its sporting talent, hospitality and organizational capacity, while conveying to the world a message of peace, friendship, goodwill and harmony.
