ISLAMABAD, Aug 11 (APP):Superintendent of Police (SP) City Zone Dr Ayaz Hussain on Tuesday chaired a review meeting at Women Police Station to scrutinise serious crime cases under investigation, with a focus on effective use of evidence, timely arrest of suspects and early completion of challans.
An ICT Police spokesperson told APP that SDPOs, SHOs and investigation officers of City Zone attended the meeting.
SP Ayaz conducted a case-by-case review of progress in ongoing investigations and examined the steps being taken to trace and arrest suspects involved in serious crimes.
Ayaz directed investigation officers to make effective use of available evidence and pursue cases professionally to strengthen investigations and ensure their timely completion.
He also instructed the officers concerned to expedite the arrest of wanted suspects and complete challans without unnecessary delay so that cases could be proceeded with before the courts in accordance with law.
The SP Ayaz stressed close supervision of investigations and directed supervisory officers to regularly review progress in serious crime cases to ensure effective and result-oriented policing.
