Girl drowns in tube-well pit

KHANEWAL, Aug 11 (APP):A girl drowned after accidentally falling into a water-filled pit attached to a tube-well at Chak No. 122/10-R, Jahanian,rescuers said on Tuesday.

According to Rescue 1122,the girl,identified as Neha(6),was playing near the tube-well when she fell into the pit.

Upon receiving the information,Rescue 1122 personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved the girl.

However,she had drowned and died before she could be rescued.

After completing the necessary procedures,Rescue 1122 handed over the body to the deceased family.
