The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Monday conducted eight operations in various parts of the country and arrested six suspects, including a woman, seizing 160.96 kilograms(kgs) of drugs worth over Rs 12.6 million.

RAWALPINDI, Aug 10 (APP):The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Monday conducted eight operations in various parts of the country and arrested six suspects, including a woman, seizing 160.96 kilograms(kgs) of drugs worth over Rs 12.6 million.
According to an ANF spokesperson, in an operation near a college on GT Road, Peshawar, ANF recovered 1.2 kg hashish from a woman. The arrested suspect reportedly confessed to selling drugs to students of educational institutions.
At Islamabad International Airport, 69 heroin-filled capsules weighing 460 grams were recovered from the abdomen of a passenger travelling to Bahrain.
In Karachi, 60 kg hashish was seized from a truck near Northern Bypass, while 12 kg hashish was recovered from a suspect near Sohrab Goth.
At a courier office in Quetta Cantonment, 1.5 kg hashish was concealed inside walnuts was recovered from a parcel.
During inter-provincial operations, ANF recovered 24 kg hashish concealed in a sofa loaded on a vehicle near Sangjani Toll Plaza and arrested the suspect. Another 1.8 kg hashish was seized from a vehicle near Islamabad Toll Plaza, leading to the arrest of an accused.
In another operation near Chaman Mor at the M-1 Interchange, 60 kg hashish was recovered from a truck.
Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA), 1997.
