Sindh Senior Minister registers complaint with NCCIA

The Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has filed a complaint before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) against some social media users and accounts.

HYDERABAD, Aug 09 (APP): The Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has filed a complaint before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) against some social media users and accounts.
According to a handout of Sindh Information Department issued here on Sunday, the complaint on behalf of the minister and his son Rawal Memon had been filed by advocate Syeda Malaika Naqvi to an agency’s Deputy Director in Karachi zone.
The complaint charges some social media accounts and the users for sharing fake and mudslinging content against Memon and his son.
The complainants stated that an organized smear campaign of character assassination had been unleashed against them on social media.
They named four Facebook pages which were specifically targeting the minister and his son.
The lawyer requested the NCCIA to thoroughly investigate their complaint, especially involvement of the workers of 2 political parties.
The complainants requested the NCCIA to conduct a forensic and technical audit of those accounts and also to check if the account users were being funded by anyone.
The senior minister assured the NCCIA of their complete cooperation in the investigation.
