Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training and Chairman Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, has paid rich tribute to the historic ‘Makkah Joint Defence Agreement’ concluded between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, and commended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and brotherly Muslim countries for their strong and welcoming response to the agreement.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 08 (APP): Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training and Chairman Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, has paid rich tribute to the historic ‘Makkah Joint Defence Agreement’ concluded between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, and commended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and brotherly Muslim countries for their strong and welcoming response to the agreement.
In a special statement issued on Saturday, Minister described the agreement as a landmark development and a significant milestone towards strengthening the defence, security and collective resilience of the Muslim Ummah, while advancing the cause of lasting peace and stability in the region.
He said that the strategic defence agreement reached among three major Muslim countries in the holy city of Makkah, coupled with its warm reception and endorsement by the OIC and other brotherly Muslim nations, represents a vital and timely step towards addressing the complex security challenges confronting the Muslim world.
He stated that this historic development would not only contribute to safeguarding the security and sanctity of the Holy Land but would also strengthen regional cooperation, promote enduring peace and stability, deepen strategic partnerships among Muslim countries, and enhance the collective defence capabilities and self-reliance of the Muslim Ummah.
Siddiqui further said that the unity and cooperation demonstrated by Muslim countries in support of shared security objectives reflect a growing commitment to collective responsibility and mutual solidarity. He expressed the hope that the agreement would pave the way for broader cooperation and stronger institutional mechanisms for peace, security and stability across the Muslim world.
He said that Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan regards this historic initiative as an important foundation for greater unity, mutual cooperation and a peaceful future for the Muslim Ummah. He reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue to play its constructive role in promoting peace, stability, dialogue and cooperation among Muslim countries and in safeguarding the collective interests of the Muslim world.
