The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi has completed renovation, rehabilitation and beautification works at Anjum Iqbal Mughal Park in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed to provide residents with a clean, green and healthy recreational environment.

RAWALPINDI, Aug 08 (APP): The Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi has completed renovation, rehabilitation and beautification works at Anjum Iqbal Mughal Park in Khayaban-e-Sir Syed to provide residents with a clean, green and healthy recreational environment.

The works included cleanliness and sanitation, grass cutting, pruning of plants and trees, new plantation, installation of seasonal flowers and rehabilitation of green areas.

Special attention was also paid to the beautification of the park’s entrance and exit points, walking tracks, green belts and other prominent areas to make the facility more attractive and functional for citizens.

Managing Director Horticulture Agency Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha directed the concerned officers and field staff to ensure regular maintenance of the park and further strengthen cleanliness, plantation, landscaping and horticultural activities.

Field staff removed weeds and overgrown shrubs, pruned unnecessary branches and improved green belts and other landscaped areas. Seasonal and flowering plants were also planted at various locations to enhance the park’s visual appeal.

According to the agency officials, parks and green spaces play an important role in environmental improvement, provision of cleaner air and promotion of a healthy society. The agency would continue rehabilitation, maintenance and beautification of parks and green areas across the city.

Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that no compromise would be made on cleanliness and maintenance standards and directed the staff to continue plantation and rehabilitation activities regularly for the long-term preservation and beauty of Rawalpindi’s parks.
