Ayaz welcomes signing of joint defence agreement in Makkah

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has welcomed the signing of the Joint Defence Agreement among the three brotherly countries — the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Türkiye — in Makkah on Friday.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 08 (APP): Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has welcomed the signing of the Joint Defence Agreement among the three brotherly countries — the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Türkiye — in Makkah on Friday.
He termed the agreement as another significant strategic achievement of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and said that it was a testament to Pakistan’s growing stature and its key role in promoting peace, security and stability in the region.
He commended the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, and President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the signing of this significant strategic initiative, and congratulated the people of Pakistan on this landmark development.
Ayaz Sadiq said the Joint Defence Agreement as a promising development that would further strengthen collective security and contribute to peace & stability in the region.
He said the agreement reflected the shared resolve of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye to safeguard their sovereignty, security and territorial integrity while contributing to a peaceful and stable regional environment.
Ayaz Sadiq said that the Joint Defence Agreement was a manifestation of the deep-rooted bonds of brotherhood among the three brotherly nations, founded on shared religious beliefs, common values and a shared commitment to peace and justice.
NA Speaker expressed confidence that the agreement would serve as a strong foundation for closer cooperation in the fields of defence and contribute meaningfully to regional peace and stability.
He added that the agreement would open new avenues for enhanced defence collaboration and mutual support among the three countries.
Ayaz Sadiq lauded the political leadership of the three brotherly countries on this landmark strategic initiative.
He also appreciated the leadership and professional contribution of Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
He said that CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s steadfast commitment to Pakistan’s national security had played an important role in strengthening Pakistan’s defence partnerships and advancing the country’s strategic interests.
Ayaz Sadiq said that the people of Pakistan deeply value their fraternal relations with the peoples of Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
He prayed that this historic initiative would usher in a new era of enhanced cooperation, mutual trust, collective security and enduring peace among the three brotherly nations and across the region.
