ISLAMABAD, Aug 08 (APP):Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Saturday paid rich tribute to Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on his 68th martyrdom anniversary, commending his unparalleled courage and sacrifice in defence of the motherland.
In his message, the Speaker said Major Tufail embraced martyrdom while defending the country in the Laxmipur Sector. Despite being critically wounded, he bravely confronted the enemy and demonstrated exemplary courage and determination.
Ayaz Sadiq said the sacrifice and bravery of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed would always remain a source of pride for the nation and serve as a beacon of inspiration for the younger generation.
He said the great sacrifice of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed was a shining chapter in the glorious traditions of the Pakistan armed forces, while his unmatched bravery was a symbol of the resolve and courage of the country’s armed forces.
The Speaker said the immortal sacrifices of the martyrs constituted a strong foundation for Pakistan’s sovereignty and national security. The nation held its great martyrs in the highest esteem and regarded those who sacrificed their lives for the defence of the motherland as a source of immense pride.
He also lauded the unwavering loyalty and professional commitment of the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Armed Forces towards the country.
