ISLAMABAD, Aug 08 (APP):Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Saturday paid tribute to Captain Hamza Akram, who embraced martyrdom while bravely fighting during an intelligence-based operation in Hangu.
The Speaker also lauded the security forces for killing seven Khwarij terrorists during the operation.
Ayaz Sadiq said that the bravery and courage of Captain Hamza Akram were a matter of pride for the entire nation.
He said the nation saluted the martyred officer who sacrificed his life in defence of the motherland.
Ayaz Sadiq said that those who laid down their lives for the defence of the country were national heroes, adding that security forces personnel had rendered countless sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
The Speaker said the nation would continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with its security forces until the complete elimination of terrorism.
He said the nation saluted the great sacrifices of its martyrs and acknowledged their invaluable services for the protection and security of the country.
Ayaz Sadiq prayed to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of the martyred Captain Hamza Akram and grant patience and fortitude to his bereaved family to bear the loss.
