RAWALPINDI, Aug 07 (APP): Superintendent of Police (SP) Rawal Bidar Bakht held a crime review meeting at the Rawal Office on Friday to assess the law and order situation and evaluate the performance of police stations under his jurisdiction.
The meeting was attended by SHOs and other relevant police officials. Reviewing the performance of the police stations, the SP issued a series of directives aimed at strengthening investigations and enhancing crime control.
He instructed officers to ensure daily follow-up and close monitoring of progress in murder and other heinous cases, while adopting a coordinated strategy to crack down on vehicle theft gangs.
SP Bidar Bakht also directed investigating officers to dispose of pending cases strictly on merit, clear the backlog of challans, and intensify action against proclaimed offenders (POs) and those facilitating them.
He instructed police to scrutinize the involvement of previously convicted offenders in robbery, dacoity and theft cases warranted, and to maintain strict surveillance over habitual criminals to curb repeat offences.
Emphasizing the importance of public service, the SP directed officers to resolve citizens’ complaints on a priority basis and ensure efficient, courteous service delivery at police stations.
“Maintaining law and order and ensuring justice for citizens remain our foremost responsibilities. All available resources are being utilized to achieve these objectives,” SP Rawal added.
