BNB Women University Sukkur Observes Youm-e-Istehsal to Express Solidarity with Kashmiris

SUKKUR, Aug 06 (APP): The Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University (BNB WU) Sukkur observed Youm-e-Istehsal, Kashmir Solidarity Day with a series of activities to raise awareness about the Jammu and Kashmir issue, said a release issued here Thursday.
The university organized panel discussions in which faculty members and students highlighted the historical, humanitarian and legal aspects of the Kashmir dispute.
Speakers shed light on the significance of Youm-e-Istehsal, paid tribute to the resilience of the Kashmiri people, and stressed the importance of peace, justice and the right to self-determination. They also underscored the role of academia in promoting critical thinking and national consciousness among youth.
Addressing the event, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Tehmina Nangraj reaffirmed the university’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
She said universities have a pivotal role in nurturing informed, responsible and patriotic citizens who uphold the values of justice, peace and human dignity. She urged students to stay intellectually engaged with national and international issues and to contribute towards a peaceful, progressive and united Pakistan through knowledge, dialogue and responsible civic engagement.
The event concluded with a renewed pledge to stand with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to continue promoting awareness, national unity and humanitarian values through education.
