SYDNEY, Aug 6 (APP): High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia, Irfan Shaukat, accompanied by his spouse paid a courtesy call on Governor of New South Wales Margaret Beazley AC KC at Government House.

During the meeting, the two dignitaries discussed opportunities to further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Australia. They also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in various fields, including trade, people-to-people links, and other areas of mutual interest, a press release issued on Thursday said.

High Commissioner Irfan Shaukat highlighted the positive and valuable contributions of the Pakistani community to the multicultural society of New South Wales.

Governor Margaret Beazley, commended the significant contributions of Pakistani Australians to the state’s social, economic, and cultural development.

The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to further expanding the friendly relations between Pakistan and Australia.
