Two-day badminton tournament held at Mehran Engineering University Jamshoro
HYDERABAD, Aug 05 (APP):Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, organized a two-day badminton tournament for male and female students in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.
The tournament was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Taha Hussain Ali.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that Mehran University is organizing speech competitions, sports and various co-curricular activities for male and female students during the month of Independence Day.
He said that the badminton tournament is part of the ten-day Independence Day celebrations.
Teams of 8 male and 6 female students are participating in the tournament.
The badminton competitions will continue from August 5 to 6 at the gymnasium of Mehran University.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Mehran University Registrar Prof. Dr. Nasrullah Pirzada, Prof. Dr. Khadija Qureshi, Director Sports Abdul Fattah Kandhar and other dignitaries.
