ISLAMABAD, Aug 5 (APP): Agricultural machinery and implements worth $135.267 million were imported during the financial year 2025-26 as compared to the imports of the corresponding period of the last year.
During the period from July-June, 2026, the imports of agricultural machinery and implements registered an increase of 23.08 per cent as compared to the imports of the same period of the last year.
The other machinery worth $2.970 billion was also imported during the last financial year, which was recorded at $2.308 billion in the same period of the last year, according to the data of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
The imports of other machinery into the country during the period under review grew by 24.34 per cent as against the imports of the same period of the last year.
Overall, the imports of the machinery group into the country during the 12 months of the last financial year grew by 5.95 per cent, as it was recorded at %$10.919 billion as compared to the imports of $10.307 billion of the same period of the last year.
