QUETTA, Aug 05 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Wednesday said that, on behalf of himself and the people of Balochistan, he expressed full solidarity with the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Youm-e-Istehsal.
In his special message on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day, he said that India’s abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A on August 5, 2019 was illegal, unilateral and contrary to international laws, which was aimed at affecting the identity, rights and historical status of the Kashmiri people.
The Chief Minister said that for the past several decades, the people of occupied Kashmir have been facing oppression, repression and serious violations of human rights.
He said that the attempts to turn the Kashmiri people into a minority in their own land are not only condemnable but also a clear violation of UN resolutions and international laws.
Mir Sarfraz said that the people of Balochistan strongly condemned these steps of India and fully support the right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination.
He stressed that the only just and lasting solution to the Kashmir issue is possible only in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations (UN) Security Council and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan said that the international community should take effective notice of the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, highlight the atrocities committed against the Kashmiri people and increase pressure on India to abide by its international obligations.
He said that the Balochistan government, in full solidarity with the federal government, with the determination and consistency with which Pakistan has been supporting the Kashmiri people politically, diplomatically and morally for the past several decades, would continue this struggle in the future as well.
He said that the people of Pakistan and Balochistan would never leave their Kashmiri brothers and sisters alone and will continue to provide moral support at all levels in their struggle for the right to self-determination, freedom and justice.
The Chief Minister said that Kashmir Exploitation Day is a day to renew the resolve that Pakistan and the people of Balochistan stand with the Kashmiri people in every difficult moment and would continue their full moral and diplomatic support until they achieve their legitimate rights.
