Syed Ali Gilani’s ‘Hum Pakistani Hain, Pakistan Hamara Hai’ resonates with every Kashmiri: Zamurrad Khan

ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP):Patron-in-Chief Pakistan Sweet Home Zamurrad Khan on Wednesday said veteran Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani’s historic slogan, “Hum Pakistani Hain, Pakistan Hamara Hai” (We are Pakistanis and Pakistan is ours), represented the sentiments of every Kashmiri and remained a powerful symbol of their enduring bond with Pakistan.
Addressing the Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir ceremony at Constitution Avenue,, he said generations of Kashmiris had maintained their attachment to Pakistan despite decades of hardships and sacrifices.
He said the slogan “Kashmir Banega Pakistan” reflected a longstanding commitment passed down from earlier generations, maintaining that no action by India could weaken that relationship.
Zamurrad Khan said the hearts of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) continued to beat with Pakistan, while the people of Pakistan remained ready to make every sacrifice for their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
He paid tribute to the courage and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, particularly the mothers and families who had endured immense suffering during the prolonged struggle.
Referring to the deep attachment of Kashmiris to Pakistan, he said there were families in IIOJK who wished their loved ones to be wrapped in the Pakistani flag after their death, which, he said, demonstrated the strength of their bond with Pakistan.
Khan said the Kashmir cause could never be extinguished despite decades of attempts to suppress the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He said the presence of thousands of young people, including Pakistan Sweet Home cadets and students from universities and colleges, at the gathering in front of Parliament reflected the younger generation’s solidarity with the Kashmir cause.
He said every Pakistani, whether a child, youth or elderly person, stood firmly with the Kashmiri people and would continue supporting their struggle for their rights.
He urged the participants to renew their commitment to stand with the Kashmiri people and continue raising their voice for their legitimate rights.
Zamurrad Khan also thanked Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam and his team for organizing the Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir activities and providing a platform for people from different sections of society to express solidarity with Kashmiris.
The gathering echoed with slogans of “Kashmir Banega Pakistan” as the participants reaffirmed their support for the Kashmiri people and their struggle for the right to self-determination.
