Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Wednesday announced its 20-member national squad and team management for the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2026, to be held in Amstelveen, Netherlands and Belgium from August 15 to 30.

ISLAMABAD, Aug 05 (APP):Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Wednesday announced its 20-member national squad and team management for the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2026, to be held in Amstelveen, Netherlands and Belgium from August 15 to 30.
Having qualified for the tournament, Pakistan is set to compete on hockey’s biggest stage. The squad blends experienced internationals with emerging young talent.
The squad comprises Waqar, Muhammad Abdullah, Muhammad Sufyan Khan, Moin Shakeel, Abdul Waheed Ashraf Rana, Abdul Hannan Shahid, Zakriya Hayat, Arshad Liaqat, Adeel Latif, Ahmad Nadeem, Ghazanfar Ali, Ammad Shakeel Butt, Muhammad Hammaduddin Anjum, Rehman Abdul, Afraz, Umar Mustafa, Abu Bakar Mahmood, Ali Raza, Abdul Mateen and Muhammad Ammad. Waqar and Ali Raza will serve as goalkeepers.
The team management includes Muhammad Awais Qarni as team manager, Bob Johan Veldhof of the Netherlands as head coach, Christopher John Bowen of Great Britain and Adnan Zakir as assistant coaches, and Ashraf Sultan as video technician.
The PHF President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani expressed full confidence in the announced squad and extended his best wishes to the players and support staff. He appealed to the nation to extend full support and encouragement to the Green Shirts in their bid to bring laurels for Pakistan at the international level.
