PESHAWAR, Aug 04 (APP):The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar has announced the results of the Matric Annual Examinations, wherein more than 27,000 students failed the Class 10 examinations this year.
According to the board administration on Tuesday, a total of 97,950 students appeared in the Class 9 examinations. Of these, 57,847 students passed and were promoted to Class 10.
Board officials said that 95,496 students appeared in the Class 10 examinations. Among them, 66,988 students passed, while 27,788 students failed.
In the Arts Group, Muhammad Abu Zar secured first position with 1,088 marks. Saira Zafar stood second with 1,074 marks, while Saif Hamdan claimed third position with 1,062 marks.
In the Science Group, Umama Ali shined in the board exam by securing 1,182 marks. Syeda Atiqa secured second position with 1,178 marks, while Hareem Khan grabbed third postion with 1,177 marks.
