Blood donation camp organized to mark Police Martyrs Week
DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 03 (APP):A blood donation camp was organized here at Ejaz Shaheed Police Lines on Monday in collaboration with Fatimid Foundation as part of the ongoing Police Martyrs Week, with senior police officers and personnel donating blood to pay tribute to their martyred colleagues.
Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ghulam Mubashar Mekan, District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ziauddin Ahmed, along with police officers and jawans, voluntarily donated blood during the camp, reaffirming the force’s commitment to honoring the sacrifices of police martyrs through humanitarian service.
Speaking on the occasion, RPO Ghulam Mubashar Mekan said the police martyrs had laid down their lives while safeguarding the country, protecting citizens and combating terrorism. He described their sacrifices as a priceless national asset that would never be forgotten.
He said donating blood was an act of saving lives and, during Police Martyrs Week, symbolized the police force’s renewed commitment to the mission of its martyrs and to serving humanity.
DPO Ziauddin Ahmed said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police had rendered matchless sacrifices for the restoration and maintenance of peace. He paid tribute to the families of the martyrs, calling them a source of pride for the entire police force, and reaffirmed that the police would continue to stand by the public in every difficult situation while fulfilling both its professional and humanitarian responsibilities.
The police officers and personnel enthusiastically participated in the blood donation drive, pledging to carry forward the legacy of the martyrs by working tirelessly for public safety, peace and the welfare of society.
Representatives of Fatimid Foundation appreciated the cooperation of the Dera Region Police, saying the donated blood would help save precious lives while promoting the values of selflessness, compassion and public service in society.
The event concluded with a message from the Dera Region Police, emphasizing that the best tribute to police martyrs was to perform duties with integrity, courage, compassion and dedication to national service, contributing to a peaceful, secure and stable Pakistan.
