President felicitates Swiss leadership on National Day
ISLAMABAD, Aug 01 (APP):President Asif Ali Zardari, Saturday, extended felicitations to President of the Swiss Confederation Guy Parmelin, the Federal Council and the people of Switzerland on their National Day.
“The President highlighted that Pakistan and Switzerland enjoy warm and cordial relations founded on mutual trust, shared values and constructive cooperation,” President Secretariat Media Wing said in a press release.
The president said that Pakistan attached great importance to its multifaceted relationship with Switzerland, particularly in the spheres of trade, investment, technology, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, mountain tourism, climate resilience and textiles.
He further noted that both nations shared a strong commitment to international peace and maintain productive engagement across various multilateral forums.
President Zardari said Pakistan values the role of Switzerland in promoting global peace and mentioned the country hosting multiple important global bodies including the UN, with Pakistan maintaining its permanent mission at Geneva for decades.
He also expressed confidence that the friendship and collaboration between the two countries would continue to expand and deepen in the years ahead
