DPM reviews Pakistan’s international education cooperation

ISLAMABAD, Jul 30 (APP):Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar Thursday chaired an inter-ministerial meeting to review Pakistan’s international education cooperation and scholarship programmes for students from friendly countries.
The Federal Secretary for Education briefed the meeting on the scholarships being extended to students from various countries.
DPM/FM appreciated the efforts of the Ministry and expressed satisfaction with the progress made in promoting educational linkages and cooperation.
DPM/FM directed the Ministry and the relevant departments to further expand the scope of educational cooperation with friendly countries and explore new avenues for strengthening people-to-people ties through academic exchanges and scholarship opportunities.
The meeting was attended by the Minister for Science & Technology, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary for Education, the Chairman of HEC, and senior officials from the relevant departments.
