Ayaz condemns Hangu terrorist attack
ISLAMABAD, Jul 30 (APP):Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Thursday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a police check post in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district, expressing profound grief over the martyrdom of DSP Diyar Khan and nine police personnel.
In a statement, the Speaker paid glowing tribute to the martyred police officers and personnel for sacrificing their lives while courageously defending the check post against the terrorists.
He also commended the police officers and personnel for foiling the attack and eliminating the assailants, saying their bravery and professionalism reflected the unwavering resolve of Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism.
Expressing heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, Ayaz Sadiq said the entire nation stood with them in their hour of grief.
He prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for strength and patience for their families to bear the irreparable loss.
The Speaker also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured police personnel, including DSP Mujahid Hussain.
He said the sacrifices rendered by the brave police officers and personnel would never go in vain, adding that the police force had made unparalleled sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
Ayaz Sadiq said the nation would always remember the invaluable sacrifices of the security forces and law enforcement agencies, adding that terrorists would never succeed in their nefarious designs.
He said such cowardly acts could not weaken the nation’s unwavering resolve to eradicate terrorism from the country.
