Police Service Centre Opens in Pakistan’s Gaggo Mandi

BUREWALA , Jul 30 (APP):A Police Khidmat Markaz (Police Service Centre) on Thursday was inaugurated in Gaggo Mandi, aimed at providing a range of police and traffic-related services under one roof to improve public access and service delivery.

The facility will offer services including copies of First Information Reports (FIRs), tenant registration, police verification, driving licence issuance and other administrative assistance in  a modern, citizen-friendly environment, the official sources said.

A driving school had also been established at the centre to promote safe driving practices, particularly among young motorists, they added.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by former Lawmaker, Chaudhry Nazir Ahmad Arain, provincial legislator Chaudhry Muhammad Yousaf Kaselia, former provincial lawmaker Sardar Khalid Mahmood Dogar, Assistant Commissioner, Jawad Hussain Malik, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Rana Muhammad Imran Tipu and District Traffic Officer Zafar-ul-Quddus, along with local officials, lawyers, journalists and residents.

Addressing the gathering, Assistant Commissioner Malik said the centre would improve access to police services for women, elderly citizens and families by providing assistance in a secure and dignified setting.

SDPO Tipu said the project had been completed through the joint efforts of local leadership, elected representatives and police officials.

 He added that cooperation between the police, civil administration and the public had contributed to a decline in crimes in the area, while stressing that law enforcement should remain free from political influence.

District Traffic Police Officer, Zafar-ul-Quddus said the driving school would help improve road safety awareness, while the availability of licensing and other traffic-related services at the centre would reduce the time and expense for residents seeking such services.
